Gwynne Forster is a best-selling and award-winning author. Her first book of general fiction, When Twilight Comes, was published in February 2002 by Kensington/Dafina Books. Her romance novel,Beyond Desire, won Ms. Forster the Black Writers Alliance 2001 Gold Pen Award. It always was selected as a Doubleday Book Club, a Literary Guild and a Black Expressions club selection.
Gwynne holds bachelors and masters degrees in sociology and a masters degree in economics/demography. As a demographer, she is widely published. She is formerly chief of (non-medical) research in fertility and family planning in the Population Division of the United Nations in New York and served for four years as chairperson of the International Programme Committee of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (London, England), positions that took her to sixty-three developed and developing countries. Gwynne sings on her church choir, loves to entertain, is a gourmet cook and avid gardener. She lives with her husband in New York city.
