I've always wanted to be a writer, so when my husband (then boyfriend) said, "Just do it!" I did! I quit my job went back to university and while studying literature, wrote what I thought was a
historical romance. It wasn't. It was so cliched it wasn't funny. I
bought some current romances, bought books on how to write romances, and
started work on a second novel. Before the end of my second year at
university I'd received a request for the full manuscript from Avon. A
few months later I sold two books to them.
