Daniella Brodsky’s debut novel, Diary of a Working Girl (Berkley, Penguin), hit bookstores on April 6th ’04 (order it now on www.amazon.com or www.barnesandnoble.com). New York Times Best Selling novelist, Nora Roberts, says of the New York City love story, “This is so much fun!” Diary is the story of magazine writer Lane Silverman, who would do anything for love and a good story. Here's what book industry publication Booklist says:“Readers will simply love Lane and her wild imagination.”
Daniella’s second work of fiction, The Waitress, will be published by the same house in the short story anthology, Never on a Sundae in December ’04. Look out for info on her follow-up novel soon (for updates on all of Daniella’s current projects, appearances and news click on her News and Events page)!
You can read more of her city girl fiction, while perusing the best spots for a cocktail and everything else a girl needs to know to party right in Gotham and look great doing it, in her other current title, The Girl’s Guide to New York Nightlife 2nd Edition (amazon.com). She’s still nursing a few hangovers from researching that book!
She reports on beauty, fashion, dining, relationships, shopping and travel for such publications as Cosmopolitan, The New York Post, Time Out NY, Shape, Men's Health, Self, Gotham and Fitness.
Daniella was born in Queens, New York and always loved to write stories. She never thought she could do it for a living until one day she decided, well WHY NOT? The rest, as they say, is history (okay it was a lot of work and eating Ramen noodles, too, but it sounds so much better that way). She resides in New York City and is a proud alum of New York University.
