Computer expert Francie Stevens is being framed of corporate espionage. She knows she’s not guilty, but has to work with Tall, Dark and Handsome Clay Morgan to prove it. Francie doesn’t trust Clay or his idea to pose as her boyfriend to catch the guilty party. Clay sees through Francie’s baggy frumpy clothes and glasses to the beauty she keeps hidden. As they delve deeper into the case, Clay becomes more attracted to Francie and she tries to put distance between them. She’s not interested in becoming involved with Clay. She vowed never again to date a handsome, charming, womanizing man….no matter how attracted she is to him.
Computer Wiz Clay Morgan really is a wizard. He’s not looking for love or to settle down. Clay meets Francie and he recognizes her as his life mate. Legend has it that when a magic practitioner meets their life mate, a soul-mate initiative happens to make them fall in love. It will not stop until they mate for life. It’s rarely heard of it happening with a non practitioner. Clay doesn’t know why she isn’t falling for him as he is her. How can she resist the spell of the initiative?
Francie thinks Clay is insane. He claims to be a wizard and that they are soul mates. She knows that is impossible and doesn’t believe him. Francie vows to have nothing more to do with him once the case is wrapped up. Clay eventually turns to his meddling sisters for help in convincing Francie he’s telling the truth.
The sexual tension between Clay and Francie is HOT! When they finally do get together, the pages sizzle with heat. The story is imaginative, fresh and appealing. The relationship between Clay and his sisters is amusing. Francie makes Clay work hard for her trust, but it is worth it in the end. The book has a surprise ending that will leave the reader cheering.
Do You Believe In Magic is the 2nd book in Ann Macela’s Magic Series. The 1st book is of Clay’s older sister, Daria and the 3rd book coming next year, is his younger sister, Gloriana’s book.
