Reviewer Comments: Can such opposite be attracted and survive the relationship?

Ty McCordle is a stock car driver. He is a tough but sexy man who is successful in his career and in much demand from women. He has escaped one woman only to find himself in another’s arms. This is one he wants to keep which surprises him. Ty has a secret he keeps from all who know him. The only person who knows is his personal assistant, he is dyslexic. He tries to be informed in many ways that don’t deal with reading. He shocks himself when he falls for academic, Imogen. A woman he initially couldn’t pronounce the name of.

Imogen Wilson is an academic. She is logical and likes to examine all things from each angle and is trying to find her thesis topic. She has a secret crush on Ty and is frustrated when he dates a woman called Nikki, who is following a book called “How to Marry a Race Car Driver in Six Easy Steps” to catch her man. She decides to use the book as the basis of her thesis to see how it might work. Ty isn’t the man she hopes to attract but the man she finds in the way.

The way in which Imogen asks questions at critical moments, especially during sex, is amusing to both Ty and the reader. Ty’s responses are also amusing. The relationship is light-hearted but does turn serious and the breakup is heart-breaking for both. Imogen, a real city girl, goes camping and the way she tries to cope would be like any city girl. She does what she can to try and fit into Ty’s world and his likes. But don’t despair, Ty also tries to deal with things in her world. Ty is forced into reading Shakespeare. And although he doesn’t understand all it is about he understands the premise. And to impress her he can quote Shakespeare.

This book is a very entertaining read. Ty is sexy and lovable. He has goals and aims to achieve all of them except to read. He does what he can to go around this by using audio books and having someone read to him. He believes that Imogen wants him to read so organizes to do so. Imogen is a true academic, smart but with only a little amount of self-confidence. Her confidence develops as she spends more time with Ty even though she has a different aim. This pair are suited to each other. The relationship is the main aspect and this something readers will enjoy. The sex between the pair is sexy. Some of the entertaining aspects of the story include Ty finding out the Nikki is cheating on him, Ty and Imogen going camping and the marriage proposal.
