Reviewer Comments: It is proposition she was not allowed to turn down, help or have her ship taken from her. No one told her she would have to deal with Kell Frayne, Commander from the Black Wraith Squadron.

Mara is a scavenger and an expert pilot. She is known for her ability to get the job done which is why she was selected, or rather, coerced into this task. She is reluctant to let Kell take the pilot’s seat as it is her ship when they are travelling through space to their destination. Kell instructs her how to manoeuvre through a particular planet storm something no one has ever done. Mara realizes that Kell is one very sexy man and also does what she can to tempt him. Mara also has a secret that is eventually revealed to Kell.

Kell Frayne is one of the best pilots and commanders around. He wants to just get his friend Celene Jur, and the ship, returned before their enemies find out how the technology works. Kell has to be second to Mara while on her ship but that doesn’t stop him from wanting her. He is not too happy when he is cast as her pleasure slave while she tries to find information on the ship, although he does enjoy the benefits of his “new” position.

The story does have a successful conclusion to the mission but doesn’t finish at that point as there are secrets still to be revealed. I liked the different world as it had some very interesting characters. Mara and Kell have the chemistry and heat between them and are willing to act on it. This is a short story that will grab the reader’s interest and keep it to the end as the twists and turns take Mara and Kell to their happy ever after.
